The Packaged Shoot

Most of my clients demand portraits, editorial or event photography to provide images for publicity, websites and brochures or personal use. To cater for these in an efficient and cost effective way (while not scrimping on quality) I present my charges in an standardised easy to understand framework prepared to suit your needs. I aim to provide competitive quotations that relate to the value that you are likely to obtain out of my images. The more I know about your needs the more confidently I can pitch my quote - to allow me to do that you should let me know, at a minimum:

  • the shoot location
  • who / what the subject is
  • how many final images that you are seeking to obtain
  • how those images are to be used
  • whether the images are for you, a company you are part of, or a third party client

How you are using the resulting images is important. Please be specific as possible: being clear on this allows planning of the shoot in the correct way.

Don't like the results - don't pay for them!

On packages I charge an advance fee that reserves you a time for the shoot and covers some basic costs that I incur in carrying out the shoot and running my business. Other than that, everything I earn is based on delivering results - if you don't like what I produce all you pay is the advance fee.

My packaged shoots are there to deal with straightforward situations where I don't have to go through hoops to get hired, or chase accounts departments to get paid. If a package does not fit your needs then you are likely to be looking for.....

The More Involved Shoot

These shoots may require special preparation up front, have a specific detailed brief to fulfil, may require meetings ahead of the shoot, scouting of locations, dealing with models, location hire etc. Here an estimate is provided based on all the factors that may be involved including and the degree of skill involved (technical and artistic) in producing the image.

These more involved shoots are conducted using the terms and conditions here that are essentially those agreed between the Association of Photographers and its advertising client base.
